Rabbi Yerach Meiersdorf
Rabbi Yerach Meiersdorf grew up in an Orthodox community in Israel. From an early age, he was immersed in Jewish learning and communal leadership. Over the years, he has become a dynamic and engaging spiritual leader, known for his ability to connect people to Judaism in a meaningful and personal way.
Rabbi Yerach began his rabbinic journey working with young people, first as the rabbi of Noam, the youth movement of the Conservative movement in Israel, and later as the rabbi of Marom, the global young adult organization of the Conservative movement. His passion for Jewish education, spirituality, and community building led him to inspire and guide Jewish young adults around the world.
Now serving as a rabbi at Adath Israel in Toronto, Rabbi Yerach is deeply involved in Torah study, spiritual growth, and community engagement. He has established Yeshivat Adath, an evening Torah study program. He also leads healing circles, support spaces, and educational initiatives that foster a vibrant and inclusive community.
In addition to his teaching and leadership, Rabbi Yerach provides spiritual care and guidance to those in need, offering pastoral support in hospitals and in the homes of community members. He also specializes in breathing techniques, helping individuals manage stress, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate spiritual well-being.
Rabbi Yerach is the author of a book on educating spirituality, and this year, he is publishing a new book on Hebrew Shamanism, exploring the spiritual and mystical traditions of Judaism in a fresh and insightful way. His teachings combine traditional wisdom with contemporary insights, making Jewish learning accessible, engaging, and transformative.
"Judaism is about connection—between people, between generations, and most importantly, between the soul and God." – Rabbi Yerach Meiersdorf
